I WAS 14 years old, and attending Sunday School at Bethesda Frankel Estate Church, in Singapore.
Daniel Ee, my teacher, simply quoted Isaiah 40:31 with such great conviction, that I fell in love with it.
It gave me a sense of freedom and power, to soar above all difficulties on earth...exams, family problems, and the dark world of spirits.
The verse encourages me to wait upon the LORD.
I learned as a teenager that this meant to depend on God as I face hard times in life.
My teacher had just lost his mum in a car accident.
She was sitting next to him as he drove, and a car just banged the life out of her! This was very bad news!
This was the verse that carried him through.
How else could he receive the strength to go on with life and to lead Singapore YFC as their National Director?
